I chose Perrysburg Commons Retirement Center because I liked the way I felt when I toured here. The staff was so friendly, the building was very clean, and it just felt like 'home.' I knew it would be the right choice.
The entire staff is great and always helpful... I appreciate the many services that are provided here.
I must say, the other residents are the nicest group of people you would ever want to meet.

Last winter was really hard for me. I was in the hospital 4-5 times for different reasons. My wife had passed away in September, and I was taking care of things that I just wasn't used to doing.
I was in a few different nursing facilities, when my brother said I “probably would not be going home”. He suggested that I go to Perrysburg Commons for a while and see what it was like. I really did not want to listen to this suggestion, but I told him I would “try it for a little while”.
To my surprise, I am perfectly happy here! When I was at home, it was quiet and lonely and that was not good. The staff here is nice and very friendly, as well as with all the residents.
There are plenty of things to do to keep busy, and the food is very good also. I have made new friends, and my family can visit whenever they want.
I enjoy the fact that I do not have to worry about things. They really make it easy for you. They take care of the cooking, the cleaning, the laundry, and everything that you worry about at home.
I am pleased that I made the decision to stay at Perrysburg Commons. I just recently put my condo up for sale, that’s how happy I am here!

I began my life in Perrysburg Commons on September 29, 2003. I was recuperating from back surgery. It was the right time for me to move, since I lost my husband of 50 years of marriage in 1998.
My days became filled with happiness among so many cheerful people, helping me with my every need. It became like a huge family atmosphere as days went by.
I really appreciate all the girls in housekeeping who handle my laundry and clean my apartment. They do a great job.
I had many happy years of preparing large family dinners, birthday dinners, and family picnics. However, I have acquired a “pampered” feeling here as I enjoy our noon lunches and evening dinner hours served in the beautiful dining room.
The kitchen staff all does a wonderful job. Our excellent Chef, and all the efficient wait staff, takes care of our every need.
I love the many activities. They are numerous and so fulfilling to our lives. The trips gives us many hours of fun, relaxation with our many friendships we've acquired living here at Perrysburg Commons.
The Department Heads have done a marvelous job of drawing our residents together, and molding us into a family of unity. I will always have fond memories living at Perrysburg Commons. I've enjoyed the staff being a part of my daily life, and the many friendships that I have made.
